Upton Snodsbury Park
USPRA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Monday 5th June 8pm
in the Twisted Spoon
Trustees and a Treasurer needed. Please come and find out more about how you can support the park and playground.

The Park is run by a small charity USPRA (Upton Snodsbury Parish Recreational Association, charity number 1112077), which was set up to implement and run the park.  Their constitutional objectives are: "To provide a recreation ground and recreational facilities for the benefit of the community of the Parish of Upton Snodsbury in Worcestershire, and persons who by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances have special need of such facilities, with a view to improving their conditions of life, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.”

The park was opened in August 2007 and is the result of four and a half years hard work by a small group of people from the parish with a very generous grant from the Big Lottery Fund.  USPRA now organise and fund the on-going inspections and maintenance, equipment requirements and grass-cutting and co-ordinate fund raising activities such as the very popular music festival "SnodFest".

The park has a children’s play area, five-aside football area, bicycle humps, seating and a small car park. It is fully accessible for the disabled with wheelchair friendly paths.  Dogs are permitted in the main park but not in the fenced children's play area.  Owners are requested to clean up after their dogs and keep them under close control.

USPRA relies on public donations, if you would like to support the charity in any capacity, please contact the USPRA secretary c/o The Village Post Office.

The Park is now protected for the future with FIT, fields in trust, through a "Deed of Dedication".  The Deed is a legally binding document which means the park is protected for future generations to enjoy.
